How this works & what happens to the link you paste
We don't open the link or load the page. We send the address to free third-party threat-intelligence services — VirusTotal, URLhaus and Google Safe Browsing — and ask them whether the link, or the domain it sits on, is on record as malicious. Their answers are combined into the verdict you see.
- Privacy:the link you paste is sent to those services so they can look it up. We don't store it, and no login is required. Don't paste links that contain private tokens or passwords in them if you'd rather they never leave your device.
- Honesty:“looks clean” means no source has flagged it — not a guarantee. Brand-new phishing pages often aren't listed yet, so stay alert regardless.
